BRATTLEBORO - Vermont Friends of Israel (VFI) and Shalom Alliance will present two public screenings of the critically acclaimed documentary October 8 at the Latchis Theatre in downtown Brattleboro on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, at 4:00 pm.

October 8 offers a look at the explosion of antisemitism on college campuses, social media, and the streets of America in the aftermath of Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. Through meticulous investigation, the film also uncovers how over decades, Hamas created networks in America to permeate U.S. institutions and examines the tsunami of online antisemitism, propaganda, and disinformation unleashed by Iran, China, and Russia with the sole aim of dividing American society.

The screenings are open to the public, and community members of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend. A brief community discussion will follow each showing. Admission is by suggested donation of $10.

VFI, in collaboration with Shalom Alliance, is proud to bring this important film to the Latchis, where art and dialogue come together to inspire awareness and empathy.

This event is part of VFI and Shalom Alliance’s ongoing commitment to promoting education, solidarity, and truthful conversation about Israel and antisemitism in Vermont and beyond.
